How high street bookmakers are preparing for safe return of customers and staff
High street bookmakers in England and Wales have been busy making preparations to ensure the safety of staff and customers in time for the first stage of the reopening of betting shops on Monday.
Betting shops have been closed since the start of the year under lockdown restrictions and will remain so in Scotland until at least April 26.
At William Hill, where betting shop staff have continued to receive all of their salary during lockdown, the retail leadership team has been trained on cleaning, preparing, and maintaining the estate to ensure they are safe and ready to reopen.
