How David Probert kept things smooth on The Foxes in 'messy' Royal Lodge

It was noticeable that David Probert took The Foxes straight back as the gates opened in the Royal Lodge at Newmarket on Saturday. As his team highlighted after the race, they were definitely keen to take a lead.
Dubai Mile was squeezed forward to make the running by Daniel Muscutt. Both William Buick on Flying Honours and Ryan Moore on Greenland wanted to follow someone and so formed a sort of arrowhead formation behind the leader.
Ears pricked in front, Dubai Mile was under no pace pressure at all, and you could see from Daniel's body language that he really had to hunt his mount along to get him to concentrate and maintain that steady gallop. That definitely made it slightly messy for Flying Honours and Greenland in behind.
