Holley completes marathon hat-trick with Richmond win

He conquered Cheltenham's fearsome hill on horseback and now former jockey Paul Holley is celebrating big-race success under his own steam.

Now assistant to trainer David Elsworth, Holley won the Triumph Hurdle aboard Oh So Risky at the 1991 Cheltenham Festival and the keen runner was first across the line in last Sunday's Richmond Runfest marathon. At 50, he was also comfortably the best performer in his age category.

The race was Holley's third marathon of 2016, but the Newmarket-based runner is accomplished over a variety of distances.
