My favourite has to be my first runner and winner as a trainer, Riggins, who won the Listed Hyde Stakes at Kempton in November 2010. Well, I say won, he actually dead-heated with a runner from the Marco Botti stable but that counts as a winner to me.
Riggins used to be trained by Luca Cumani, for whom I was assistant trainer for four years, so I knew him quite well. After he was sold out of Luca's stable, he went to Andrew Balding's for a short period before I bought and syndicated him with my friends and family.
