Wolverhampton is much maligned and in a few hours' time I’ll be able to tell you whether or not it should be, depending on the results.
I quite like Wolverhampton. It’s a bit lacking in Blue Points and a bit overendowed with Class 6 contests (there are five today) but there's the camaraderie of shared hardship and everything’s compact and convenient.
Even Sir Michael Stoute would have trouble escaping from journalists here. There’s plenty of room in the parade ring because a lot of trainers are busy doing other things at home when Wolverhampton’s on.
