There has been much talk of levelling up to bring economic benefit to cities and areas outside London, and Flutter Entertainment believes it is playing its part with the opening last week of a new £15 million UK technology and innovation hub in Leeds.

The offices will be home to around 1,700 staff, including 800 'technology professionals' at 4 Wellington Place in the Yorkshire city, where Flutter is one of the largest corporate employers, bringing Leeds-based Sky Betting and Gaming (SBG) staff under one roof for the first time.

The new hub comprises 136,000 square feet of space across eight floors and will act as a "centre of excellence" in areas such as product development, software engineering and research for Flutter brands operating in the UK and Ireland.
