People forget jump racing used to stop at the end of May and didn't restart until early August, so the extension into a summer programme improves a jumps trainer's business and helps them to retain staff and maintain a routine. Obviously jump jockeys can earn well through the summer months too. We don't have many summer jumpers this year but one to note would be Sonneofpresenting.
