Cheltenham chat, Trueshan's return and reflections on a fine season

We're back where we started: my first column of the season looked ahead to a big meeting at Cheltenham and so will my last.

I had no joy on the Paddy Power Gold Cup card but I hope for better luck this week, when fine prospect Call Of The Wild runs in the novice hurdle on Wednesday.

It's a step up in trip but when Brian Hughes won on him at Doncaster he thought two and a half miles would be fine. There's not much between this field on ratings and I think he'll run very well.
