Point-to-point racing in Britain is set to resume this weekend – but with conditions attached.

Horses who were vaccinated against equine flu more than six months ago will not be allowed to take part and temperatures will be taken for all runners on the morning of their races.

Signed documentation, confirming the measure has been taken and that the horse is showing no sign of being unwell, will have to be produced at racecourse gates before lorry ramps are lowered.
