Fabulous festival success with Edwardstone - who could now go to Aintree
What a great week! It was terrific to land the Arkle Chase with Edwardstone. Winning races at the Cheltenham Festival is what every trainer hopes for.
It had been a long time since our last win there with Uxizandre but we'd had a lot of horses run well at the meeting in the last seven years - and there weren't many we took there in that time who we felt should have won. You can only do what you can with the ammunition you've got.
Edwardstone was fabulous last week. Although there was a bit of a scare at the fourth, he was very clever to sidestep the faller and he was excellent after that. I couldn't have asked for any more from him. Considering it was a championship race, it was very smooth.
