6th, 7f two-year-old fillies' maiden, Curragh, October 10

There was every chance this penultimate juvenile maiden of the season would produce some interesting types. It was won by an exciting filly in Aneen, and this daughter of Nathaniel was the biggest eyecatcher.

She was never a factor in the race, raced green for much of the way and was being ridden to keep whatever place she had to halfway. From that point, though, she began to pick up and without her rider resorting to the whip kept on nicely and passed a number of her rivals inside the last furlong or so.
