Betting exchange Matchbook are planning a major investment in marketing including more sponsorship of horseracing next year as they look to take the business on to "the new level".

The company announced what was described as "significant investment" during the summer to help it grow and challenge the dominance of Betfair.

Chief executive Mark Brosnan said the investors brought knowledge of the horseracing-betting side of the industry as well as funding to help create awareness.
