'Enough in performance of Minella Indo to think he can recapture Gold Cup form'

The best performance on Racing Post Ratings at Leopardstown on Saturday came courtesy of Conflated (168) in the Irish Gold Cup, although it wasn’t a particularly satisfactory race.

Asterion Forlonge, Kemboy and Frodon all disappointed behind the seemingly much-improved winner, who went from winning a handicap off a mark of 145 in December to this Grade 1.

There was enough in the performance of runner-up Minella Indo (161) to think he may yet be able to reach his Gold Cup-winning RPR of 179, particularly given his excellent record at Cheltenham.
