Right then, who do you fancy to win the King George VI Chase?
Anthony Bromley, bloodstock agent With my Highflyer Bloodstock hat on, I’m rooting for any of the four we purchased – Bristol De Mai, Politologue, Might Bite or Clan Des Obeaux – to win, but I have a feeling that one of the Colin Tizzard pair, Native River and Thistlecrack, could be victorious. I thought they both ran great trials at Haydock last time.
Matt Hulmes, Betfred odds compiler Politologue. It will be a severe stamina test with Native River, Coneygree and probably Might Bite going from the front, but his Ascot form and Aintree win have both been franked and Paul Nicholls has won five of the last ten runnings. The Betfair Chase five again all have claims but this is a different test on a different day and I expect that form to get shaken up.
Emma Lavelle, trainer I’m going to stick with Might Bite. Kempton is his ideal track in my opinion as he’s got a lovely way of travelling. Nicky [Henderson] wouldn’t run him if he wasn’t 100 per cent happy and hopefully it was just a blip at Haydock.
