Philip Hobbs to enjoy a bumper festive period
In recent seasons Hobbs has a phenomenal record in bumpers during the festive period. (In this feature this is deemed to be races run between December 26 and January 1).
Since 2010-11 his horses have achieved placings of 511711251112, for a £1 level-stake profit of £12.78.
Westend Story won a Huntingdon bumper for the stable on December 26 last season and went on to finish a highly respectable fifth in the Champion Bumper at the Cheltenham Festival, while Hobbs’s upwardly mobile chaser Village Vic landed a Chepstow bumper on December 27 in 2011.
