Randox Foxhunters' Chase winner Cousin Pascal will be the star turn when Britain's 2021-22 point-to-point season starts on Saturday.

Victory at Aintree in April was the latest in a growing list of notable successes for Cheshire trainer Joe O'Shea, invariably with other yards' cast-offs.

Before Cousin Pascal joined O'Shea he only had a maiden point-to-point win in Ireland to his name from 21 starts, and it was hard to believe he would ever be good enough to line up in one of the sport's biggest hunter chases, let alone win.
