It was a hell of a decision by Gordon Elliott to run Conflated in the Irish Gold Cup, but if you look down the card you had Asterion Forlonge, who falls as many times as he gets round, and Frodon and Minella Indo who had really hard races in the King George.

There was good prize-money even if Conflated had finished third or fourth; even so, it was a massive stroke to pull off.
