It was confirmed recently that the Killultagh, Old Rock and Chichester Hunt – the oldest hunt in Ireland, which dates back to 1610 – has been disbanded. This sets a worrying tone.

The financial pressure on hunts is well known and it is always disappointing to see one lose the battle to survive.

From a solely point-to-point perspective it would be a further blow if its course at Largy was also lost.
