The New One

It’s a game of chess with him and we have to wait and see what happens to the other players. We know he’s a two-miler already, and although he’d have to improve to beat horses like Faugheen, if they’re not running he won’t have to. If they do run and we think we can’t win, we can have a go at the longer race, but we can’t be sure he’ll stay the trip. People say he makes it look hard when he wins the Champion Hurdle Trial at Haydock but he’s made it look hard three years running and won it every time, and he didn’t make it look too hard when he beat My Tent Or Yours at Cheltenham, which has to be a factor in his favour. It’s a nice problem to have.
