Challenges remain as course bookmakers welcome return to action after Covid

Life is starting to return to normal for on-course bookmakers following the hammer blow Covid inflicted on their working lives but the sector is still facing a number of issues.

That was the message coming from National Association of Bookmakers (NAB) chairman Simon Walmsley following the organisation's annual meeting last week.

The NAB represents around 200 on-course bookmakers, and its regional representatives were able to meet face-to-face for the first time in months in London to discuss the issues facing them, many of which predate Covid.
