Carbery Pony Club raise funds for point rider McGrath
Many hands make light work, something members of the Carbery Pony Club proved when successfully organising a fundraiser for recuperating point-to-point rider Stella McGrath.
Pictured above at the Copper Grove, Bandon, are committee members Jackie O'Regan, Rachel O'Leary, Susan Nicholson, Imelda Hayes, Lucey Kingston, Sarah O'Driscoll, Aoife McSweeney, Emma Hilliard, Susan McCarthy and Roy Tyner, who accepted a cheque for €5,500 on behalf of the Stella McGrath Trust.
McGrath, who has just turned 21, is said to be recovering well after sustaining serious head injuries in a fall at Glenbane point-to-point on November 20.
