If you asked Nicky Henderson if he could win any race he'd probably shun the riches of the Pegasus World Cup and plump for the Grand National.

The world's most famous jumps race, backed for the first time this year by Randox Health, is a notable omission on the three-time champion trainer's CV.

Zongalero and The Tsarevich, second in 1979 and 1987, are the closest he has come to shooing that particular monkey off his back and things seem unlikely to be rectified this spring as none of his five entries in the Aintree marathon are guaranteed a run.
