Danny Sheehy, Conor McGovern, Killian Leonard and Oisin Orr are the hottest properties in the Irish claiming ranks just now and they are gearing up for busy Friday-night action at Dundalk over the winter period.

While aspiring footballers dream of scoring World Cup-winning goals as they play in back gardens or on the streets, these four young riders spent their childhood simulating big-race finishes in fields and now they are doing it for real.

With bigger-name jockeys jetting off to sunny shores to take on loftier targets, opportunities knock during the winter months and the blossoming riders are keen to make an impression under floodlights.
