Arkle winner Edwardstone in good form for his return to Cheltenham

It's an exciting time to be resuming my Racing Post Weekender column as Arkle Chase winner is set to reappear in the Shloer Chase at Cheltenham on Sunday.

This has always been the target for his reappearance and there aren't many options for a horse like him. I want to give him a race before the Tingle Creek and I gave him a back-up entry in a handicap at Ascot a week on Saturday but that was just in case he couldn't run here and his mark of 161 makes that an unattractive option.

Edwardstone is in good form. He schooled on Monday and I've been thrilled with him at home this autumn so I hope he can pick up where he left off in the spring.
