All change behind the scenes as Marshall moves on and Santos moves in
There have been a couple of notable moves behind the scenes at some of Newmarket's best-known stables in recent weeks with one of the more high-profile ones involving Mike Marshall taking up the role as assistant to Charlie Fellowes.
Marshall, who had been understudy to Ismail Mohammed at Grange House Stables for the past couple of years, is best known for assisting Sir Henry Cecil at Warren Place during the Frankel years when he was closely involved with the 14-time unbeaten champion.
After Cecil died in 2013, Marshall joined Martyn Meade for a time before his move along the Hamilton Road to join Mohammed, who is sponsored by the Dubai Racing Club, and he has now joined Fellowes who purchased the prestigious Bedford House Stables from Luca Cumani last winter.
