Next week the Curragh’s annual tribute to one of its finest fillies will take place as hopefuls line up for the Ridgewood Pearl Stakes. Its namesake, who travelled the world in a blaze of glory, lived up to her connections’ expectations – and more – setting the 1995 season alight and leaving some of the year’s best colts in her wake.
