March marks the start of spring but the change in season also means it will soon be time for the government to publish the initial findings of its review of gambling.

The call for evidence made last autumn launched an intensive period for the Association of British Bookmakers, given that the main focus of the investigation has been the review of gaming machine stakes and prizes.
