Two remarkable horses from have broken the record for wins in a point-to-point season in Ireland.

The ten-year-old mare Longhouse Music recorded her 13th victory from 15 starts when winning at Kinsale on Saturday, but 24 hours later, on the final day of the Irish season at Ballingarry in County Tipperary, Kruzhlinin matched her tally on his 17th start. Kruzhlinin began his racing career in British point-to-points, winning one of two races for Worcestershire’s Zoe Hammond before selling at Doncaster and proving a very useful chaser in the colours of Paul and Clare Rooney.
