There are two well-known songs that are little more than lists of wonderful things in the world and it may be time to add something new to both of them.

In 1979 that poet laureate of rock Ian Dury released the typically cheeky Reasons To Be Cheerful and, rather earlier, Rodgers and Hammerstein penned that saccharine piece of schmaltz My Favourite Things for the Sound of Music.

Lyrics are tricky to write but somehow – and it may be like getting the proverbial camel through the eye of the needle - we have to get the National Heritage Centre for Horseracing and Sporting Art in the mix, however hard the rhyming may be.
