All political careers, it is said, end in failure but does that apply to a career in racing politics?

Steve Harman's tenure as BHA chairman ended this week, several months earlier than originally planned following upheaval at the BHA in the spring, which might suggest Enoch Powell's quote applies in his case as well.

Harman spent more than five years at 75 High Holborn and both the BHA and the sport it governs have experienced major changes in that time.
