Richard Flint may have left Sky Bet and the gambling industry at the end of June but there is no sense he is feeling relief at no longer being part of a sector that finds itself under pressure like never before.

Flint, 47, spent 18 years with Sky Bet and more than ten of those leading the business to become one of the giants of the industry.

In recent years he took on a lead role in that industry, calling for change as the sector came under increasingly heavy fire from campaigners, politicians and the media.
