Eziyra is set to be supplemented for the Blandford Stakes at the Curragh on Sunday and will spearhead Dermot Weld’s attack on Irish Champions Weekend, with the master trainer describing his team as small but select.

Having justified odds-on favouritism in the Group 3 Paddy's Rewards Club Stakes over a mile and a half at Leopardstown on the opening day of Irish Champions Weekend in 2017, Eziyra is set to wait a day and drop in trip for the Group 2 on Sunday after trading at a low of 2.1 in-running when third to Sea Of Class in the Yorkshire Oaks.

Weld said: "We're going to supplement Eziyra for the Blandford Stakes. Like everyone else, there was a brief moment when I thought she was going to win at York.
