Ladbrokes St Leger outsider Harbour Law was the centre of attention at Laura Mongan's Condover Stables, on bank holiday Monday.

The Lawman colt, runner-up to Sword Fighter in the Queen's Vase at Royal Ascot on just his fourth start, will be a first Classic runner for the stable. He is widely available at 33-1 and 40-1 in a market dominated by Great Voltigeur winner Idaho, but his trainer insists he will not simply be making up the numbers.

Mongan said: “We are hopeful, and if he was in a more fashionable stable I'm sure he would be only half the price.”
