Envoi Allen to race next Sunday with Marsh 'definitely' the Cheltenham target
The hugely exciting Envoi Allen will reappear in the Grade 3 Killiney Novice Chase at Punchestown next Sunday, with Gordon Elliott confirming the only race he is considering for him at Cheltenham is the Marsh Chase.
The unbeaten superstar, who won the Weatherbys Champion Bumper and the Ballymore at the last two festivals, is a general even-money shot to complete the hat-trick in the Marsh Chase and Elliott could not be happier with him before next weekend's assignment over 2m4f.
Elliott said: "We felt the Punchestown race fitted in nicely for him and that's where he's going. Two and a half miles around Punchestown next Sunday will be perfect for him. He's been in great shape since the Drinmore and I couldn't be happier with him. All roads lead to the Marsh for him. That's definitely where he's going with the help of God."
