Enable confirmed her status as queen of the fillies with an emphatic victory in the Irish Oaks and connections are understandably raising their sights to taking on the colts.

As the first winner of the Oaks and Irish Oaks since Snow Fairy in 2010 – and the highest-rated winner of the Curragh classic since Sariska in 2009 – she looks too good to be kept to her own sex.

Saturday's race rather fell into her lap, as she was well placed stalking the steady pace and was still swinging on the bridle when taking up the running shortly after turning into the straight. But when asked the question she answered and nothing got close.

The five-and-a-half length win over Rain Goddess (112) earned an RPR of 121, which ranks her up with the best colts around once her filly's allowance is factored in.

Things will get tougher when she enters open company and she will have to improve again to land the Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe or King George VI and Queen Elizabeth Stakes.

The last three-year-old fillies to win the Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe (Zarkava, Danedream and Treve) did so with RPRs of 128-131, while Taghrooda improved to an RPR of 125 to win the King George after her Oaks win in 2014.
