Edwardstone sure to be a popular pick as transfer window and mini game open
If you have been playing the Tote Ten To Follow since the game launched in November and are ready to reset your team, or whether you now know the form inside out and want to get involved, there is an opportunity to do both.
The main game’s transfer window has opened and the Cheltenham Festival mini game is ready for your stable entries.
The transfer window allows you to make two changes to your stable, so if you missed out horses who have since emerged as major festival fancies and want to add them now you have until 11am next Tuesday, March 15, the first day of the festival, to make changes. It is the same deadline for the mini game.
There are plenty of horses with leading Cheltenham chances who were not popular picks at the start of the game. Edwardstone, favourite for the Arkle, now sits in second among the leading Ten To Follow horses on 87.12 points, but was included in only one per cent of stables.
Others who might be of interest are Mares’ Hurdle favourite Telmesomethinggirl, originally picked by 0.9 per cent of stables, Tiger Roll, who is seeking a fourth Cross Country success but selected by just 0.3 per cent of stables, and Vauban, favourite for the Triumph, but in 0.2 per cent of teams.
There is a minimum of £10,000 up for grabs in the festival mini game. Entries cost £5 per stable or €5.50 in Ireland. There are cash prizes down to tenth place.
The rules are similar to the main game: players choose a stable of ten to score points throughout the festival. Every time they win or place they are awarded points which are enhance by their Tote returns.
Points scoring is the same as for the main game, including bonus races for which there is an additional 25 points for a winner and 12 points for a runner-up.
The festival bonus races are the Arkle Chase, Champion Hurdle, Champion Chase, Brown Advisory (formerly RSA) Chase, Stayers’ Hurdle, Ryanair Chase, Gold Cup.
