Hales rewarded with a batch of Gigginstown horses

Edward Hales has been rewarded for identifying the potential of Don Cossack to Gigginstown House Stud after the son of Sholokhov finished fifth on debut in a bumper at Punchestown in 2011.

The trainer has received an influx of horses from the powerful owners who will be aimed at four-year-old point-to-points in 2017 and arrived having already been broken by Ciaran Murphy and Dot Love.

Hales is the latest trainer to feature on Gigginstown House Stud’s new blueprint for the season and he has taken on a number of new staff from the soon-to-be-retiring David Wachman, who is based near the trainer in Goolds Cross.
