James Doyle yesterday refused to rule himself out of the Stobart jockeys' title race as he moved into third place, 14 winners behind leader Jim Crowley.

Crowley edged two clear of champion Silvestre de Sousa, who had one winner at Yarmouth, with a double at Goodwood to add to his treble at Windsor on Saturday evening.

Bookmakers, slow to recognise Crowley's bandwagon gathering pace this month, cut him to a best-priced 4-6, with Coral going 8-13, after he made it 11 winners for the week against De Sousa's three to lead 79-77.
