Global warming or not, jump racing continues to suffer the effects of Britain's long hot summer as Doncaster became the latest track in the firing line.

While the likes of Exeter, Taunton and Leicester have had to abandon meetings this autumn because of hard ground, Doncaster has been able to race, although slippery ground two weeks ago brought an early end to a fixture.

Friday's seven races have attracted a mere 30 runners, with not one race offering full each-way betting. The field sizes are 4,3,3,5,3,5,7.
