A decision on where Magners Cheltenham Gold Cup contender Presenting Percy will run next will be made after the weekend, with owner Philip Reynolds admitting he was disappointed with the 2018 RSA Chase winner’s effort in the Savills Chase at Leopardstown last week.

The Pat Kelly-trained nine-year-old, who started favourite for the Gold Cup last March but was found to be lame after disappointing in the race, looked as though he was nearing a return to his best when third on his seasonal debut in the John Durkan at Punchestown last month.

However, Presenting Percy failed to make the necessary jump in the Savills, and was beaten four lengths into fifth behind Delta Work.
