Deadline looms for racing employers to make nominations

Nominations for the 2018 Godolphin Stud and Stable Staff Awards close next Tuesday and those in the industry have been reminded to make their case for their top employees.

More than £125,000 is up for grabs and as much as £40,000 can find its way to a single yard or stud, while there are also runner-up prizes.

The finalists will be invited to the Jumeirah Carlton Hotel in London on February 19 when the winners will be announced at a ceremony hosted by ITV Racing's Ed Chamberlin.

Trainers can nominate online via the Racing Administration website, while breeders, owners, colleagues and managers can download nomination forms at studandstablestaffawards.co.uk.

The awards were launched in 2005 to recognise the achievements of racing's key staff and leading Flat trainer William Haggas describes them as "a fabulous way for us to show appreciation of the people who work so hard behind the scenes".
