Most staff were still heading into work when Gosden pulled his Irish 2,000 Guineas runner-up out on to Long Hill at 5.30am. With the main gallops closed due to 35mm of rain on Monday, Gosden grabbed the fresh ground for last year's champion two-year-old, who enjoyed a nice tow from his personal lead horse Whitlock.
