Coolmore take aim at Laurens and pay £20,000 to add Wind Chimes to Sun Chariot

Laurens' task of adding a fourth Group 1 to her 2018 haul was made tougher on Monday as Coolmore paid £20,000 to add the Andre Fabre-trained Wind Chimes to the Kingdom Of Bahrain Sun Chariot Stakes at Newmarket on Saturday.

French trainers have a fabulous record in the race of late, winning half of the last ten editions, thanks in no small part to Rod Collet, who claimed three wins courtesy of Sahpresa.

Francois Doumen's Siyouma and Fabre's Esoterique further enhanced that record, and Fabre said on Monday: "Wind Chimes has done well since her narrow defeat in the Prix du Moulin. She worked this morning and I was happy with her, so we decided to supplement her.
