It's fantastic news for Newmarket and the whole of British racing that Enable stays in training.

The vibes after her win at the Breeders' Cup suggested it was more likely than not she would be back racing next season. This confirmation represents a sporting decision from sporting owners, although I doubt it would have been the case if she were a colt.

Enable raced for only two months of 2018 so it makes sense to come back next season, especially as either side of the injury that blighted her four-year-old campaign she looked even better on the gallops than she had as a three-year-old. This suggests she could even improve again as she takes aim at a third Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe.
