Confusion over track's decision to cancel Jenkins show

Superstar soprano Katherine Jenkins has insisted the cancellation of her intended concert at Chelmsford racecourse on Thursday evening was not of her doing amid confusion over why the track has postponed her appearance until next year.

Racing regular Jenkins stressed the decision was "out of her hands" but Chelmsford on Wednesday provided no definitive explanation over why Thursday's concert, and another planned for Saturday, had been scrapped.

The acclaimed singer had been due to headline a programme that comprised of three consecutive nights of music events.
