Confirmed runners and riders for the Classic Chase at Warwick on Saturday

Ante-post favourite Notachance heads 13 declarations for the McCoy Contractors-sponsored Classic Chase at Warwick on Saturday.

The David Sewell and Tim Leadbeater-owned seven-year-old boasts a progressive profile and scored on his return at Bangor in November.

Tom Cannon's mount heads the betting at 4-1 with bet365 and bids to provide trainer Alan King with a third victory in the race. D'Argent and West End Rocker were his previous winners of the 3m5f contest.

King said in his Racing Post Weekender column: "Notachance has been aimed at this race since winning at Bangor in November and he's been working well after a break.

"We felt the Welsh Grand National was a year too soon for him and I hope there's more to come from him despite a 7lb rise in the weights."

Fellow market principals Storm Control and last year's second Captain Chaos were also declared and Ballyoptic heads the weights.

Dual Becher Chase hero Walk In The Mill is an intriguing runner for the in-form Robert Walford, while Catterick's cancellation on Thursday morning enabled North Yorkshire Grand National runners Le Breuil, Late Romantic and Red Infantry to be rerouted to the Warwick feature.

The Neil King-trained Nearly Perfect and Lil Rockerfeller, who runs over hurdles at Market Rasen on Saturday, were the most notable omissions.

The marathon event is one of four races from Warwick televised on ITV4, with the terrestrial coverage complemented by three races from the similarly Jockey Club Racecourses-owned Market Rasen.

The Lincolnshire track welcomes the first Irish-trained runner since a travel ban was lifted between Ireland and England as Willie Mullins bids for back-to-back wins in the Listed Alan Swinbank mares' bumper with Galway winner Grangee. She is ridden by Nico de Boinville.

Just three runners contest the Hampton Novices' Chase at Warwick but they are a classy trio with Next Destination taking on Fiddlerontheroof and Golan Fortune.

The other Grade 2 on the card – the Ballymore Leamington Novices' Hurdle – has attracted 12 runners including Adrimel, course winner Jay Bee Why and Oscar Elite. Ante-post second favourite Captain Morgan was not declared.

The ground is described as soft, heavy in places at Warwick but clerk of the course Jane Hedley predicts heavy ground if the forecast in the lead-up proves accurate.
