'She's changed and she's massive' - Hannon bullish over Cheveley Park chances
Richard Hannon is confident he can land Saturday's Juddmonte Cheveley Park Stakes (2.25) for the first time since 2014 with Trillium, who is one of ten left in Newmarket Group 1 following Tuesday's forfeit stage.
The Wiltshire-based trainer, who landed the race with Tiggy Wiggy in 2014, said: "Since she won at Newbury [in mid-July] she's changed and she's massive.
"She kind of surprised me and Pat Dobbs how well she won at Newbury and then she went to Goodwood and held the track record for 31 minutes. Then she beat the filly who beat her track record at Doncaster."
Since finishing second on her debut at Goodwood in June, Trillium has reeled off a hat-trick, with her latest victory coming in the Group 2 Flying Childers at Doncaster.
"I’ve always thought she wanted six furlongs. She didn’t settle great in the Flying Childers but she's come back from that in great form,” added Hannon. "She is getting better in her mind and she doesn’t need to improve a lot to take a hell of a lot of beating."
Aidan O’Brien has won the race four times in the last six years and his challenge could be headed by Moyglare Stud runner-up Meditate.
Lowther Stakes winner Swingalong and Duchess of Cambridge scorer Mawj also remain in contention.
Course-and-distance winner Lezoo also has solid claims after bouncing back from defeat to Mawj when finishing a length clear of Kinta in the Group 3 Keeneland Stakes at Ascot in July.
Ralph Beckett, who trains Lezoo, could also saddle Juliet Sierra, while Queen Mary second Maylandsea is also a possible. Group 3 winner Treasure Trove has been supplemented by Paddy Twomey, while Malrescia and Wave Machine complete the list.

Hannon: 'We have everything to gain and nothing to lose'
A field of ten remain in contention for the Juddmonte Middle Park Stakes (3.00) and Hannon believes he has "nothing to lose" by Persian Force renewing his rivalry with Blackbeard.
The Amo Racing colt finished half a length behind O’Brien’s Blackbeard in the Prix Morny at Deauville last month.
"I’m going in there with a horse we know is good enough and I think he’ll run very well,” Hannon said. "He’s lasted all year, is tough and has never looked better – he’s proved himself at the top level.
"I was gutted after Deauville. We were drawn a bit wide and had to come over to the stands’ side and race Blackbeard. At the Curragh I couldn’t believe something beat him by seven lengths as I know what sort of horse he is. He has an excellent chance.
"Blackbeard is a very good horse, he probably beat us fair and square in France, but half a length is the sort of margin to have another go at him with. We’ve everything to gain and nothing to lose."
Gimcrack runner-up Marshman is set to line-up for Karl Burke, while O’Brien could also saddle Aesop's Fables and The Antarctic, who finished third in France.
Charlie Appleby's sole representative is Mischief Magic, who is on a three-race winning streak. After finishing third on his debut at Goodwood in May, the Godolphin-owned colt has steadily progressed and his latest success came in the Group 3 Sirenia Stakes at Kempton.
Group 2 winner Royal Scotsman also holds an entry, while Never Just A Dream and Once More For Luck could line up for Newmarket trainer Ismail Mohammed. James Ferguson could send out Zoology.
Mill Reef winner Sakheer was withdrawn from the field, with connections instead eyeing the Dewhurst Stakes at Newmarket on October 8.
A total of 43 still remain in the £200,000 bet365 Cambridgeshire Handicap (3.40).
