Colin Tizzard blames poor form on a bug but sees end in sight with Native River

Colin Tizzard has blamed a bug for the below-par run of form for his powerful yard but hopes stable legend Native River can provide a change of fortune in glittering fashion at Cheltenham on Saturday.

The Tizzards have gone 34 days without a winner, having had 43 runners, but five horses hit the frame last week and there is optimism in the camp that a difficult spell is coming to an end.

The yard at Venn Farm in Dorset has been deep-cleaned but Tizzard expects it to take up to two weeks to know whether things have begun to fully improve.
