If it was a surprise to read about Roderick Duncan's problems, it was not to learn about the root of them.

Speaking openly to the Racing Post, Duncan said he did not know how to cope with the amount of emails he received from "trainers kicking off".

That particular kicking came as the result of an abandoned meeting in November because of ground unfit for racing.
