Sub-zero temperatures set to arrive in the coming days are a cause for concern for next weekend's key fixtures at Cheltenham and Doncaster, with frost covers at the ready to keep Saturday's schedule on track.

The courses feature as part of the terrestrial coverage on ITV4 but forecast temperatures, potentially dropping as low as -5C, mean fixtures could be at risk.

The December Gold Cup at Cheltenham is the week's big race and a decision on whether covers will need to be added will be made on Monday. The ground is currently good on the New course ahead of the two-day December meeting, which kicks off on Friday.
